Fire crews called as Lancaster vehicle fire spreads to nearby hedges

Firefighters from Carnforth were called to attend a vehicle fire in Scotforth on Monday afternoon.

The engine was set to the scene in Bailrigg Lane just after 2pm, and firefighters used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus and small tools to extinguish the blaze.

The fire had also spread to around five metres of adjacent hedgerow and fencing.
