Teenagers across the district are anxiously awaiting their GCSE results, which are released tomorrow morning, Thursday.

Schools will be opening their doors early to allow students to find out their fate.

Among them is Skerton High School, which officially closes its doors at the end of August, although Year 11s will remain on site next year to finish their GCSEs.

Don’t forget, we want you to show us your best celebration selfies.

Why not share your moment of joy with us, by grabbing your results sheet, holding it high and smiling for the camera.

Send us your selfie and we will print it in the Guardian and on our website.

Not sure about having a selfie by yourself? Then why not grab your mates and do a group shot to send in to us – the more the merrier!

Send it to us at, or go to our Facebook page at or tweet us @guardiandigital.

We’d love to know what grades you got in which subjects – and what are you planning to do next. Please remember to give us your name, age, where you are from and what school you went to.

We’ll be printing full lists of GCSE results from all our local schools next week.
