Our Lady’s Catholic College opened their Golden Jubilee year with a special mass, held at St Peter’s Cathedral in Lancaster last Thursday.
Bishop Campbell celebrated, together with many other priests associated with the college, including former chaplains Father Keefe and Father Billing, as well as the current chaplain Father Burns.
The mass also featured contributions from a wide selection of the community, from former founder teachers, current and past pupils to those starting in Year 7 this month.
The mass included a choir made up of pupils, teachers, as well as members of the extended parish families, led by Mrs Pendlebury.
Also on display was a beautiful picture of Our Lady, painted by former pupil Roksana Jackowska and the school badge, which has been specially adapted to represent the school’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
There will be more events happening throughout the year to mark the special anniversary.
