A LOCAL company which runs after school and holiday clubs for disabled childrenis organising its first annual ball.
Unique Kidz and Co, which is a registered charity, is holdng the ball on Saturday, October 13 at The Globe Arena in Morecambe.
It runs its clubs from The Loyne School on Sefton Drive, Lancaster and provides services including trips out and courses for professional childcare workers.
Artemis Support Services, based near Garstang, has pledged its support as the main sponsor for the ball.
The company offers person-centred support packages for vulnerable people such as those with disabilities, recovering after operations or with ill health and families.
Maria Murfitt, director of Artemis Support Services, said: “We are delighted to work with Unique Kidz and Co on their annual ball.
“I have visited their after school club and seen myself how wonderful the services they offer are for disabled children and their parents.”
Denise Armer, of Unique Kidz, said: “We are delighted to work with Artemis and hope that through our partnership we can make our first annual ball a great fundraising success.
“We are a small, but growing charity which now supports over 130 disabled children and their families across Lancashire and Cumbria.
“In order to continue our services we need to raise £150,000 per year and we hope that the ball will help us to achieve this.”
Barden Concrete, a leading UK producer of ready mix concrete and Morecambe-based Halo Business Solutions have also signed up as ball sponsors.
More sponsors are needed for the event, and raffle and auction prizes are also required.
Tables of 10 for the ball cost £350, while individual tickets cost £35.
The evening will include a drinks reception, three course meal, music from the Fabulous Picasso Brothers, an auction and a raffle.
