Qatari businessman Abdulrahman Al-Hashemi has been helping the League Two club through a cash crisis this season.

Graham Burnard, who acts for Mr Al-Hashemi, said all club bills were being paid and the wages were sent last Thursday.

Rod Taylor, club director, said he’d been assured the money should “hit at any time”.

Globe Arena staff wages were paid 11 days late in early February and were also delayed at the end of October 2016.

Morecambe FC has been in the midst of an ownership battle this season and the team is currently on a run of six straight defeats.
