Dance lovers descended on Lancaster Castle at the weekend as A-Wing returned to the city for the second year running.

DJs Pete Tong, Mark Knight, High Contrast, Matt Thiss, Metrik and Josh Lee cranked up the former prison cell into a rave show with Friday and Sunday night selling out.

A-Wing organisers Richard Dyer and Chris Glaba were honoured to be able to bring back the event.

Richard said: “All in all I think the weekend was a massive success.

“A-Wing as a venue presents many challenges, with each event unique to the previous night.

“We’ve not had a spot of trouble in the last 12 months, something we are really proud of, we just like to keep moving and making better.”

Local DJ Matt Thiss has said it was an “absolute dream” to be on the lineup with DJ legends Pete Tong and Mark Knight.

He said: “I have had nothing but great feedback from the people who we’re there who I can’t thank enough for their support.

“The promoters of the event have also been in touch and said wonderful things, so hopefully will be working with them again in the very near future.

“I would like to thank them for letting me be a part of this huge event.”

Organisers are keeping their lips sealed as to whether the event will return again next year. For now they are revelling in the great feedback from the city.
