Cycling challenge in memory of Francois

A team of cyclists from Morecambe will battle against a squad from Bridlington on a head to head bike ride in memory of a shopping centre boss.

The cyclists representing the Arndale Centre will set off on the Morecambe to Bridlington ‘Way of the Roses’ route this Saturday aiming to complete the 178-mile route in a faster time than their opponents. Fun days, cake bakes, raffles and another cycle ride will be also be held at the Arndale in memory of Francois Nairac, development director of Arndale owners NewRiver Retail who died in 2016 from the disease.

To launch the fundraising activities a team of 20 people from NewRiver called ‘Nairac’s Rogue Riders’ will cycle from the Arndale to the Promenades Shopping centre in Bridlington, also owned by NewRiver, at 11.15am on Thursday.
