A woman was pulled to the floor, assaulted and mugged by a teenager.

Police said the 41-year-old victim was walking along Longmire Way at the back of Aldingham Walk in Morecambe when she was pulled to the floor by a man.

She sustained facial injuries and a broken tooth.

The victim handed cash to the offender who then left the area.

The incident happened between 12.30 and 1.30am on Sunday, January 26.

The offender is described as white, 18 or 19 years, five ft 8ins tall with mousey brown very short hair, drawn features and stubble.

He was wearing a dark blue top and blue jeans.
