Lauren said the stretch of prom is also close to a children's play park.

Lauren and her friend collected up as many of the pins as they could find.

She later posted a warning on Facebook, saying: "Be careful if you decide to take a walk/bike ride down Morecambe prom we’ve just come across these sprinkled across the entire width of the walkway. We picked up what we saw but no guarantee we got them all.

"Only allowed out house to exercise and people find a way to ruin that"
