Police are appealing for witnesses after two break-ins on the university campus at Bailrigg, Lancaster.

During the first incident a man let himself into the Lica building.

Once inside, he unsuccessfully attempted to break a fire door and then made his way to the first floor.

Once on the first floor, he went into the IT room and took five monitors, putting them in a box with other items by a fire exit door.

He then left the building on a bike empty handed.

Shortly afterwards the same man gained entry to the bar area on the campus and forced open the double doors to the room.

Once inside, he attempted to force the coin lock on the pool table before being disturbed by security guards who chased him.

He escaped in the direction of the Woodland trail where the guards lost sight of him.

Officers are asking anyone with any information about the June 22 incidents to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
