Sex offender with links to Garstang, Blackpool and Fleetwood is wanted by police

A search is underway for a convicted sex offender with links to Garstang, Blackpool and Fleetwood.

Police said Kenneth Dickson, 27, is wanted after he failed to comply with conditions related to his conviction in 2010 for sexual assault.

Officers have been unable to trace him after he disappeared from his home 9 days ago on Monday, June 8.

He is also wanted for breaching court bail conditions handed down at Preston Crown Court on June 5 in relation to charges of burglary in a dwelling, theft and taking without consent.

It is not the first time that he has breached his sex offender notification requirements.

Lancashire Police said he Dickson, who had been been jailed for two and a half years in 2010 for sexual assault, had previously disappeared from his address without informing the authorities.

Last September, an appeal was issued after Dickson, originally from Liverpool, failed to return to his approved premises in Carlisle, where he had been living.

In that appeal, police said Dickson had been jailed for four years after being convicted at Liverpool Crown Court in 2011 for sexual assault.

Dickson, who also used the names Stuart, Stewart, Kenny and 'Dicko', is white and around 6ft 1ins tall.

He has a small scar on his hairline and another on his arm from a tattoo.

Police said he has links to Blackpool and Fleetwood.
