Farmers visiting an auction mart near Kirkby Lonsdale will be given crime-prevention advice by police tomorrow.
PCSO Mandy Coleman will be at Kendal Auction Market, near junction 36 of the M6, on Tuesday, November 5, to promote a new campaign to encourage local communities to report suspicious behaviour to police.
She said: “I am at the auction market each week but tomorrow I will be handing out the leaflets and getting the posters on display to promote the message about contacting the police.
“It is important that we all work together to make things difficult for criminals who target rural communities.
“There are so many ways in which people can report suspicious activities.
“I encourage people to come and speak to me and I can give them advice about the ways in which we can all help each other.”
PCSO Coleman will be at the auction market between 12pm and 2pm.
