A pensioner fell victim to a bogus builder while he was distracted.
The 79-year-old was targeted at his home on Ribbleton Avenue, Preston on October 13, police said, as he was paying a tradesman who had completed some building work.
The tradesman is then thought to have taken the cash while the victim was distracted.
Officers have released an image of Nathan O’Neil, 30, who they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
O’Neil is white with blue eyes, short fair hair and an Irish accent. Call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
