Sixteen people were arrested when Lancashire Police carried out a week-long crackdown on rogue traders.

Officers joined other forces around the UK and trading standards teams to boost enforcement and raise awareness.

More than 450 officials took part in Operation Rogue Trader 2014 in Lancashire, targeting criminals posing as bogus officials or pursue elderly and vulnerable to undertake unnecessary, sub-standard and financially inflated work to properties.

More than 1,600 homes were visited.
