Masked youths steal six motorbikes in one night in Lancaster

A group of masked youths are believed to be responsible for a spate of motorbike and moped thefts in Lancaster, police said.

Police said six motorbikes and mopeds had been stolen overnight between Sunday June 12 and Monday June 13.

A group of masked youths from the Scale Hall estate were seen to steal motorbikes from Scale Hall, one from Slyne Road, one from Mainway, then others from Ambleside Road and Claridon Road.

Two broken mopeds were dumped, one on the canal towpath.

A moped was dumped on the footpath by the canal in Lancaster, believed to be one of the mopeds stolen in the spate of thefts.

Call police on 101.
