Man wanted for absconding from Doncaster prison has links to Lancashire

A burglar who fled from a prison in Doncaster four months ago is believed to have links to Lancashire.

John Elliott, who was serving a three-year sentence at HMP Hatfield for burglary, failed to return to the open prison after leacing on October 11, 2020.

Police believe the 41-year-old has links to Lancashire, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire, but officers fear he could now be anywhere in the UK.

Elliot, who may be going by the alias John Pearson, is described as being of medium build, with greying hair and a beard.

He has three fingers missing on his left hand, only having his thumb and forefinger.

Elliot also has a scars on his right middle finger and arms, as well as a smiley face tattoo on top of his arms.
