Lancaster man sentenced for MOT fraud
A man charged with three counts of MOT fraud pleaded guilty at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court.

Daniel James R Hayton, 23, of Stanmore Drive, Lancaster admitted issuing an MOT certificate without performing the MOT test on February 11, February 25 and March 2 at Lancaster Honda on White Lund as well as issuing a false test certificate for a Subaru Impreza on February 11.
Magistrates sentenced him to a 12 month community order with 100 hours unpaid work, and to pay £500 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
