Lancaster man charged with attempted rape after alleged Milnthorpe assault

A Lancaster man has been charged with attempted rape after an alleged assault in Milnthorpe.

Nathan Taylor, 33, of Barley Cop Lane in the city, is accused of assaulting a woman in her twenties outside the Bulls Head Hotel at 1.22am on Monday.

His alleged victim is from the Milnthorpe area, Cumbria Police said.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Kendal today. Detective Inspector Ian Harwood said: “Public co-operation in this incident has been excellent and has been a massive help in assisting with our investigations.

“We appreciate any help that members of the public can offer and it helps us in our efforts to make sure people feel safe in our county.”
