Lancaster man accused of attempted rape in Milnthorpe remanded in custody

A Lancaster man has been remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates in Kendal to face a charge of attempted rape.

Nathan Taylor, 33, of Barley Cop Lane, is accused of assaulting a woman near the Bulls Head Hotel in Milnthorpe in the early hours of Monday (August 5).

Cumbria Police were called to the area at around 1.22am.

Taylor is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on August 27 for a plea and case management hearing.
