Early hours punch assault was ‘totally unprovoked’

A man was punched in the face in a “totally unprovoked” assault in Lancaster.

The 25-year-old was attacked while talking to a woman outside St Thomas’ Church on Marton Street.

He was hit by a man at 3am on Saturday, February 22, leaving him with cuts to his nose and face.

PC Adam Jussub said: “This was seemingly a totally unprovoked, vicious attack so we are appealing for anyone with any information that could help us to trace the person responsible to come forward.”
