A fire which ripped through a caravan is believed to have been started on purpose, it has emerged.

Ten firefighters were called to tackle the blazing vehicle on the Heysham Bypass last Sunday.

Crews from Lancaster and Morecambe attended the incident at around 7.30pm.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the blaze took around 20 minutes to extinguish.
