A TEENAGER was tied up in his own home by thugs who threatened to saw off his fingers if he didn’t give them cash, a court has heard.
Michael McGrath, 19, of Ingleton Drive, Lancaster, and Martin Woodburn, 20, of Gressingham Drive, Lancaster, both admitted a charge of blackmail when they appeared at Lancaster Crown Court on May 11.
It follows an incident in Heaton Road, Lancaster, where the pair tied up another man in his home and threatened to cut his fingers off.
The 19-year-old - described by police as ‘vulnerable’ - was befriended by McGrath and Woodburn over a number of months last year.
The pair took advantage of the situation to hold parties in the teenager’s house in Heaton Road.
On September 19 last year, a party was held at the house, but the two men conned their way back into the property once everyone else had left, claiming they had left their car keys behind.
