A Lancaster man has been charged with attempted murder and false imprisonment following an incident in which a woman was stabbed several times.
Police were called to an address in Scotforth Road at around 1am on Tuesday, October 1, where they found a 19-year-old woman with several stab injuries - including a wound to the neck.
The woman was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and received stitches before being discharged the same day.
Gary Davies, 25, of Blades Street, has been charged with attempted murder and false imprisonment and appeared at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded in custody until October 13 , the date he is due to appear at Preston Crown Court to face the two charges.
