Four men from the Morecambe area were arrested as part of a countywide police operation targeting child sexual exploitation.
The men were amongst 18 arrested on suspicion of the downloading of indecent images of children and have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Superintendent Neil Esseen who heads up Lancashire Constabulary’s Public Protection Unit, said: “The operation has clearly demonstrated our ability and intention to tackle this issue.
“The public quite rightly expects us to protect children from being exploited and that is exactly what we will continue to deliver.”
Lancashire Police has carried out a range of activities focusing on prevention, awareness, enforcement and engagement.
