Police advice after canal burglaries

Police are warning canal boat owners to beware after a spate of burglaries from boats in the Lancaster area.Police said the incidents have happened during the early hours of the morning. Report any suspicious activity to police on 101. If a crime is taking place ring 999.

No charges in case

Lancashire Constabulary would like to thank the public for their response to an allegation of a sexual assault in Lancaster earlier this month. This has now been fully investigated and there are now no further lines of enquiry. All witnesses have been traced and no charges brought.

Missing girl found

A 12-year-old girl reported missing from Heysham was found safe and well on August 15, the day after she disappeared, police said.
