Demonstrating maturity beyond their years. they supported one another, shared responsibilities and worked together to overcome obstacles, highlighting the importance of collaboration and mutual respect.
Whether navigating unfamiliar routes, cooking meals outdoors, or setting up tents in wet conditions, pupils approached each challenge with enthusiasm and an unwavering commitment to completing the task at hand.
While the expedition undoubtedly tested pupils’ physical endurance, it also provided invaluable opportunities for personal growth.
Returning to school tired and soaked through, but with smiles on their faces and a well-earned sense of accomplishment, pupils reflected on an experience that had strengthened friendships and created memories that will stay with them for years to come.
Staff were immensely proud of the manner in which pupils embraced such a demanding challenge, with their resilience, adaptability and mutual support capturing the true spirit of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
