Construction worker injured in two-floor fall


A 35-year-old construction worker has been rescued by firefighters after falling through two floors at a building site.

Emergency services were called to the Old Victoria Hotel in West Road, Lancaster, at 4.20pm on Tuesday.

Crews from Morecambe Fire Station used an aerial ladder platform to reach the man and ‘scoop’ him up for paramedics.

He was taken to hospital suffering from neck and back injuries.
