Lancashire’s next bishop The Venerable Julian Henderson is to be consecrated at York Minster on October 10.

Blackburn Diocese is contacting all of its parishes and schools across the region to encourage them to apply for tickets for the event at 11am.

Julian Henderson is currently an Archdeacon and will be elevated to Bishop by the Archbishop of York, prior to his inauguration as Bishop of Blackburn at Blackburn Cathedral on October 19.

Officials in York and the Diocese are distributing general congregation tickets and ‘robing tickets’. Those who wish to robe must make a request.
