City councillor resigns from Labour party
Lancaster city councillor Liz Scott has resigned from the Labour party.
Coun Scott, a John O’Gaunt ward councillor officially stepped down on April 19.

Hide AdShe will remain as an independent councillor until her time in office ends.
Coun Scott said she will continue to work with Coun Eileen Blamire and the future councillor – to be decided through a forthcoming by-election – on ward issues.
