Chimney fire at cottage in Cockerham

Firefighters were called to a chimney on fire in Cockerham.

One fire engine from Lancaster fire station went to the fire at a cottage on Crimbles Lane at 10.17am on February 28.

Firefighters used chimney rods and removed part of the chimney breast to extinguish the fire.

There were no rescues or reported injuries.
