Charity will stay 4Ever Unique
4Ever Unique launches on Tuesday at the Unique Kidz base in Woodhill Lane, Morecambe, offering support and opportunities for 18 to 25-year-olds with learning difficulties.
Service manager Bev Liver said: “Unique Kidz is for three to 19-year-olds but after 19 the opportunities really diminish for young adults with learning difficulties.

“They started up Unique Kidz to help children like theirs and so they decided to do the same again and set something up for young adults.
“Between the ages of 18 and 25 is a transition time for people, going from being a child to an adult.
”They need skills to give them the confidence to move into adult life and into the community.

“Every project we do here is about connecting with the communuity.”
4Ever Unique will offer full day support between 10am and 4pm, as well as a breakfast club from 8-10am and a further club from 4-6pm.
There will be room for eight young adults each day, who will have their own space at the centre.

Hide AdBev, who has a background in adult services and working with people with additional needs, added: “The service means the young people can keep the continuity of moving up from Unique Kidz and not losing touch with their friends. It’s a very scary time for them, and they need that familiarity.”
