“He was an inspiration to our community and family and growing up I wanted to be just like him.

“The reason I am holding this charity event is to raise as much money as possible for a charity in Africa called Double Joy. He loved to visit this place as he just loved Africa altogether.

“He would always tell me stories of what he did and saw when he went to Africa I am also going to be raising money for a charity based in the U.K called Project Parent.

“This is another charity he loved to help and this charity also helps children all year around.

“Both of these charities are amazing and I want to continue to make my brother proud by doing my charity work and achieving my goals.”

Shanelle, her sister Maisie and her brother said that their brother Shaun made them so proud as he achieved a lot of his goals in such a short period of time.

Shanelle said: “Myself, Maisie and Robbie are proud to have him as our big brother and to know he is looking down on us and keeping us safe.“He loved his family and friends and always made time for them so it’s time to make time for my brother and celebrate the one year anniversary of his death.

“The gown and tie ball charity event will be held at Holiday Inn Lancaster on July 7, at 7pm.

“We have lots to offer both for adults and children.
