CCTV appeal following alleged sexual assault in Lancaster

CCTV images of a teenager police would like to speak to in connection with an alleged sexual assault have been released.

A 15-year-old girl reported she had been sexually assaulted sometime between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday June 30, on grassland to the rear of Lancaster Cricket Club on Lune Road.

The girl is believed to have engaged in conversation with a teenager near to Lancaster bus station before she was followed on to the Marsh estate.

She is then thought to have reached the rear of the cricket ground where the incident allegedly took place.

Police want to speak to this teenager in connection with an alleged sex assault.

DI Phil Jones said: “We would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV images as we believe he may have important information that could assist with our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him or who has any information that could help with our enquiries to contact us.”
