Caton Road has been reopened after an earlier accident, although traffic is still moving slowly.

The accident happened at around 12.10pm, and police said three vehicles were involved, although no one was injured.

A blue Scania box van, a black Peugeot and a silver Volkswagen Passat were all involved in the incident near the Aqueduct bridge.

Police and fire crews attended the scene, and police closed Caton Road for around an hour, turning traffic back from the M6 and Caton at 3-1-5 gym.

Motorists are advised that while the road is now open, traffic is still moving slowly in both directions in the immediate area.
