Police said a woman had lost control of a silver Suzuki Grand Vitara and gone through the lounge of the property.

A spokesman said the driver was in shock, but was out of the vehicle when officers arrived.

The crash caused extensive damage to the wall of the house, and the council was notified.

Nobody was arrested.
