Inspector Kirstie Banks-Lyon of Morecambe Police said: “The vehicle suffered a mechanical failure and rolled down the hill. The handbrake failed so there was no criminal intent.”
The vehicle’s back end had smashed into the front room of the house on Rylestone Drive in Heysham, demolishing bricks and smashing the window.
