Lancaster Brewery is raising a celebratory glass after being chosen to create a special limited edition ale for supermarket chain Booths.

Booths Lemongrass Ale will be launched at the Booths Beer and Cider Festival taking place in its stores from June 18 - July 15.

The ales have been specially brewed for Booths by four breweries operating within each of Booths counties; Lemongrass Ale by Lancaster Brewery in Lancashire, Golden Ale by Tatton Brewery in Cheshire, Black IPA by Hawkshead Brewery in Cumbria and Summer Ale by Ilkley Brewery in Yorkshire.

The supermarket said it had selected Lancaster Brewery because of its “timeless ingredients and techniques by people that care”.

The beer is described as “subtle lemongrass citrus flavours delicately balanced with pale malt elements”.

“We’re so pleased to be working with these great local breweries to offer some fantastic new Booths beers to enjoy this summer and look forward to sharing these with customers during our Beer and Cider Festival”.

Booths is encouraging customers to join the Beer and Cider Festival online by sharing their thoughts and feedback on the products via Twitter. There will be in-store sampling events at all Booths stores as well as try before you buy.
