Britain’s fastest growing hair styling brand, Hairbond United Kingdom – which was founded by Lancaster’s Scott Michaels – is signing up Liverpool and Belgian international footballer Simon Mignolet to promote the brand.

Mignolet, the Reds’ goalkeeper, joins top cricketer James Anderson as Hairbond official brand ambassadors for 2014.

Hairbond has grown from nothing to exporting to more than 25 international distributors including the USA, Australia and Singapore.

It has also enjoyed rapid growth in professional hair salons across the UK, who stock the Hairbond products.

The products are also used by a whole host of celebrities including top movie stars, athletes and TV personalities.

Mr Michaels said: “We had a fantastic time doing our iconic themed photo shoot with Simon at the famous Liverpool Cavern Club, made famous by The Beatles.

“Simon is a cool guy and his passion for the city made this the perfect iconic concept for our latest shoot.

“Also, with this year’s Premier League football season hotting up as well as the Brazil 2014 World Cup upon us soon, this is great timing signing one of the world’s best goalkeepers whose profile is growing by the minute.”
