A former filter house near Quernmore is going up for auction in Manchester next week with a £225,000 guide price.
Planning permission to convert the building in Langthwaite Road into two residential dwellings has been submitted to Lancaster City Council but has not yet been granted.
The building was constructed in 1926 for the Lancaster Corporation works, and later served as a Filter House for United Utilities until 2003.
It was declared surplus by the company in 2007, and in November last year, United Utilities submitted an application for conversion into two houses in November last year.
Lancaster City Council said the application was nearing a planning decision.
Leading UK property auctioneer, Pugh & Co and its residential arm of the business, The Auction People, is dealing with the sale, which will take place at Manchester United Football Club on Thursday, February 28 from 12pm.
