A Bentham accountants has achieved a new accreditation following an independent review of its services.

Haworths Chartered Accountants was classified as an outstanding professional practice by CharterGroup.

It is a national alliance of independent practices and carries out reviews annually, providing technical support, networking opportunities and business consultancy.

Haworths director Mark Schofield said: “Knowing that as a practice we are on top of our game is excellent news to us and our clients.

“Feedback from the independent review demonstrates that we continually meet a set of high standards set by the CharterGroup which, in turn, gives our clients confidence in the services we provide.”

CharterGroup was founded in 1986 and has 54 member firms generating a fee income of £175m in 101 locations.

Gary Corbett from the alliance said: “Every year we measure our members against a number of criteria. Although it is a compulsory process for our members, it ensures that all practices meet certain standards and can also identify areas for improvement.

“CharterGroup members are given geographical exclusivity which means practices do not compete with one another but learn from success and experience.”
