A former art teacher has opened a new photography studio in Lancaster.
Elle Jones Studios – home of PhotoBaby – opened in the former Margee clothes shop in China Street on June 17.
The studios will be equipped to provide everything from baby portraits to commercial images, and will also host photography classes for all ages and abilities.
Following on from being named Best Small Business at last year’s Enterprise Vision Awards, Lancaster-based photographer Eleanor Postlethwaite sees this as the next step in the growing success of Elle Jones Photography and PhotoBaby.
Eleanor, whose two children, Ethan, five, and Freya, four, provided the inspiration for PhotoBaby, said: “This will be our flagship location. A centre of operations where we can work and teach and meet with clients.
“A central address with customer parking is a dream come true, but more than that I loved the space itself - gorgeous natural light to play with and plenty of room for even the largest families.”
To celebrate the launch of the new premises a number of open days have already taken place.
But on Saturday, June 21, there will be a PhotoBaby Children’s Party from 10am till midday for 0 - 5 year olds.
And on Thursday June 26 there will be a Mini Wedding Show for couples looking for something out of the ordinary for their big day.
Eleanor, who taught art at Carnforth High School, added: “We have lots of fantastic offers planned too.
“And, as always, we will be fundraising for Tigerlily Trust, a charity I co-founded which offers support to parents bereaved by stillbirth.
“Come and share our excitement! We’re in the celebration business here.
“Whether it’s your new baby, your wedding, your family, your commercial venture or simply the joy of photography get in touch.
“We can’t wait to set sail!”
