Cash boost for disability firm

A SOCIAL enterprise business which supports adults with learning difficulties is celebrating a £3,500 funding boost which has safeguarded its short-term future.

Fragments, which provides opportunities for work and skills development for adults with learning difficulties, was awarded the funding by Lancaster Round Table.

The £3,500, which was presented at the Round Table Beer Festival, is a significant step towards its £8,008 funding target for the coming year.

Fragments, based in Sulyard Street, Lancaster, is run by adults with learning difficulties and produces custom made mosaic signs for sale to the public.

The award will go towards paying for a project worker to provide support for the project members and help the project grow as a business.
