Nominations for the best rural enterprises are being sought for the Countryside Alliance Awards.
The celebration of communities, rural heritage and produce is returning and, for the first time this year, the winners from the north west will be honoured at a regional final in Lancashire ahead of the national event at the Houses of Parliament.
Judges are looking for submissions for four categories; local food, village shop or post office, best butcher and best start-up business.
Countryside Alliance regional director for the north west, Simon Hamlyn, said: “The awards are going from strength to strength.”
The regional final will take place at Brownsholme, near Clitheroe, on February 28 with the national event in April.
Nominations can be made at www.countryside-alliance.org.uk until November 1.
