The countdown to celebrate women’s cycling is on after the country’s Breeze Challenge event was officially launched at Lancaster University.
Hundreds of women are set to make their way to Lancashire for the ride on Sunday October 4.
Riders, cycling representatives and members of the university community met to take part in a training ride to encourage more female cyclists to join the fun.
Specially commissioned rides will take place from Lancaster University throughout the next few weeks, there is ample opportunity for riders to get themselves ready for October’s event, whether they elect to tackle the 50k or 100km ride.
Natalie Sutcliffe, from Lancaster University Students’ Union, said: “Breeze Challenge is a fantastic way to encourage women to give something new a go with no fear of judgement.” To join visit http://breezechallenge.com/.
