A motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A65 at Clapham has been named.
Simon Higgins, 39, of Todmorden, West Yorkshire, was riding a multi-coloured Ducati bike which was in collision with a silver Ford Focus near the Station Road junction at 2.20pm on Saturday. The car driver, an 83-year-old man from Burnley, was not hurt.
North Yorkshire Police have appealed for witnesses. Meanwhile, an inquest into Mr Higgins’ death is expected to be opened and adjourned later this week.
