The competitive swimmer trained at Lancaster University’s pool every week after school and also at Capernwray Dive Centre to get a feel for open water.

Mum Clare Casson said: “Jack likes a challenge! He hasn’t done any open water swimming before so thought he would give it a go. He picked the hospice as it’s a local charity that does good and needs support. Massive thank you to all that have donated.”
