Bid to trace trio after burglaries

Police have released CCTV images after a community centre was burgled twice in one night.

A crowbar was used to get into a shed at The Centre @Halton on Low Road and various gardening equipment was stolen.

Brian Jefferson from Halton-with-Aughton Parish Council said: “We managed to purchase the equipment we had on the back of a large development grant to revitalise the centre. That grant provision also provided the ability to acquire the shed.

“It’s desperately sad, thoughtless and mindless because the entire community suffers from the theft.” During the burglaries between midnight on February 18 and 2am the next day, three men who covered their faces and wore gloves arrived in a light coloured four door car with a square boot, black roof bar trims with a sun roof and tinted rear passenger windows.
