John O’Neill, Morecambe BID Manager, said: “I believe we live in a unique part of the UK that flies under the radar when it comes to being appreciated.

“Our local district offers something that I believe nowhere else in the UK can – that of a really close proximity to city, coast and countryside – to steal an old slogan and we should be shouting out about the quality of lifestyle we enjoy.”

Next month the BID will be launching the new visitor leaflet which will be distributed to businesses locally and across the north.

The leaflet will include businesses in the BID zone, a map and a full list of festivals and events for the year. Soon after that, they will be launching the new Morecambe BID website that will have a full business directory, festivals and events.

Morecambe BID recently joined Bay Tourism and will be helping to actively promote the town and surrounding areas. The new logo was created by the Design Attic of Lancaster.
