Couple Barry and Rachel Dobson along with their 11-year-old son Ben were shocked to discover the seal as they photographed the scene on Saturday (August 1).

It quickly got back into the water after the family stopped to take a closer look. Barry Dobson said: “We have never seen anything like it, you expect to see something like that when you go the zoo but not here. I presumed it had lost its parents, I didn’t expect it to move. It was a special moment.”
