Attempted murder charge following Scotforth stabbing

A Lancaster man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in which a woman was stabbed several times.

Police were called to an address in Scotforth Road at around 1am today (Tuesday), where they found a 19-year-old woman with several stab injuries, including a wound to the neck.

The woman was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and received stitches before being discharged.

Gary Davies, 25, of Blades Street, has been charged with attempted murder and false imprisonment.

He appeared at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court this morning, Tuesday, October 1, where he was remanded until October 13 for an appearance at Preston Crown Court.
